A sisal rug is always a great choice as an inexpensive and classic look for your floor.

You don’t need to shell out thousands of dollars for a hand knotted wool rug or even more for a custom designed rug.  A sisal rug has the wonderful ability to adapt to almost any setting, any style and any color palette.  It also adds a great texture and a clean design to a room.

Today there are so many choices of patterns and colors, that the design possibilities are quite vast.  Sisal is incredibly durable and easy to clean, while being very forgiving.  I have used sisal in many projects that have been installed for 7, 10, 12 years and it still looks great.

My trick is that I love to add a colored border to really make a room pop:  don’t be afraid.  The colored border can be chosen from an accent color that is already in the room.  This takes a basic sisal and really gives it a custom look for very little expense.
