18 Apr A few of my favorite things!
After coming back from 4 days at the Spring High Point Furniture market, I am finally having the time to look over the hundreds of photos I took and to reflect on all that I saw.
I had intended to share with you my 5 favorite things I saw at the market, but try as hard as I could I couldn’t get my list to less than 10!
So today I will share with you the first 5 from my list of favorite spring 2014 market finds, and then share 5 more with you in my next post.
The Pauline Wing Chair.
I love this modern interpretation of a wing chair. Smooth back and curved arm, with just a small edging of wood, make these chairs at home in any modern setting.
The Tres Square Coffee Table.
How ingenious is this? A sturdy metal base table with a padded cushion top for comfortable extra seating with a built-in tray for practicality. This table has everything going for it.
The Modern Greek Chair.
Anyone who knows me knows I love a good Greek key! So imagine when these caught my eye. Designed to be host dining chairs, I could see these chairs being used in just about any spot in the home: foyer, living room, bed room. . . anywhere you want modern, Classic style.
The Wooden Woven Chair.
Take a moment to really look at this club chair. The exterior is completely inlaid to look like woven bands of wood. I just thought this chair was so clever and smart. A real conversation starter to any room. . . plus it is super comfy!
The Century Display Pedestal.
This unusual piece can be ordered in over 20 stains or hundreds of colors. Here it is painted in a bright, summertime aqua. This piece, which measures approximately 60” tall and 21” wide, has great versatility. Besides being a what-not shelf, I can see it holding tons of books, in a bath filled with towels and toiletries or in a kitchen holding copper molds, serving pieces or even set of dishes or as a planter filled with orchids, violets and houseplants.
So, there are the first 5 items of my Top 10 favorite pieces from Spring 2014 market. Next time, I will share with you 5 more incredible finds from High Point.
And keep your eyes peeled next week for a special announcement from me about an exciting event coming up!
